Nomad - The Revival Angel - Part 1

I want to tell you about Navad, an angel who has visited me several times since 2017.

The above picture is an AI generated picture. I simply typed into Microsoft Designer - A nomadic figure facing me in the desert, dressed in grey, with a cloud covering his feet - and this is what came out. The designer also provided variations of this photo, which I will share throughout this post, and part 2. The purpose for me using AI was simply because I could not draw what I saw. I am a visual person, so visions help me process encounters with God.

Navad first visted me in 2017, during a time of worship at our church. I must be careful here to say that I do not see angels with my physical eyes. I see them with my spiritual eyes. I am humbled that I see at all, and I have asked God to open my physical eyes more, because I know people who see angels with their physical eyes. However, when it comes to the things of the Spirit, the Lord has been gracious to let me see with spiritual eyes. I am grateful just to see.

What I sometimes find difficult, is the ability to quantify such subjective experiences. For example, if I say, "I see an angel over there in the corner", and nobody sees it, then I am asking people to trust me a lot. With no physical evidence, we are left having to trust the person sharing. I choose to trust, than be cynical. My prayer to God is that people would experience the evidence of angelic presence, and not rely only on the descriptions of a human vessel. Let God do the talking.

That being said, as I have written in my book on angels, I do have many testimonies of actual physical things occuring due to angelic activity in meetings. Things that I saw first happening in the Spirit, and then people felt wind blowing, or rains suddenly falling, or healings. I like it when things like that happen, because it is God giving you confidence to move in the unseen realm. You learn to trust more in the ability He gives you, supernaturally, than your human senses and discernment.

I am painfully aware of how much I live in the natural, and this upsets me, because I want to live like Jesus. He lived with a consistent awareness that the Kingdom of God was within reach. To grow in this awareness requires two things, 1) Acknowledgement of being too aware of the natural, and 2) We need to do the kinds of things that Jesus did in order to remain sensitive to the unseen realm. I believe the chief one of His practices were His times of solitude with God. This is part of the way of the Rainmakers, they are people who spend a lot of time in His presence on a regular basis, aiming for it to be their daily habit of life, in the normal flow of life. It's not just about reading your Bible, or even praying, it's about solitude - Sitting in silence, contemplating His love and glory. As we behold Him beyond the place of words, and develop the practice of us looking at Him, and Him looking at us. It will change us. The natural becomes quieter, the unseen becomes clearer. It becomes pristine and prophetic.

"Within Your temple, O God, we contemplate Your loving devotion"

Back to Navad. When I first saw him in 2017 I simply journaled him as the "Nomad" angel. He stood about fifty feet away, in the Spirit, and was just looking at me. I found a journal entry from 2017 following that first encounter,

"On Saturday night we had a powerful time of worship. During the set I saw into the Spirit realm and all manner of heavenly activity was happening. I felt led to encouage everyone to focus on 'One Thing'. For me it was the gems on the High Priest's breastplate. I'm researching exactly what all of that means.

The other thing I vividly saw was an angel walking towards me. This morning I've sensed his name is 'Nomad" because that's exactly what he looked like. He had a long grey to dark grey robe, as in the bottom of the robe was darker than the top. He also had a shawl wrapped around its head and shoulders of the same color. His face was serious but not angry, and around his feet was a cloud of billowing white smoke. It covered his feet"
(Monday the 26th of June 2017)

He visited again in 2018, and once in 2019. Both times in the Spirit, stood at a distance, and looking at me. There were no more sightings until about a month ago. This is when I was moved to look up the Hebrew word for "Nomad", and found it to be "Navad" (נַוָד)

I have more to write on this encounter, and its pertinence to Revival in Wales. I will write a second part to this post soon.

I would just like to finish with this. I did not understand why this angel was visiting me. We are talking about almost nine years ago that he first made himself known to me. That's a long time to go without understanding. Such is the path we must walk. It is not a path of quick answers, or always having understanding. My encouragement to you is for you to look back over your journey of faith, and bring to remembrance the encounters that you have had. Maybe you assigned a purpose to them at the time that seemed appropriate, but over time they have faded from memory. I believe that God was just preparing you for what He is about to do in Wales, and beyond. These encounters, like the stones at Mizpah (Genesis 31:49, 1 Samuel 7:12), are memorial points on our pilgrimage into understanding God's bigger purpose. What happened to me nine years ago is only now unfolding. I was in another country, living a different life, and that's why it did not make sense at the time, because it was for such a time as this.

Trace your encounters. Journal them today. Bring them into a today narrative. God has been leading you to the place of Revival. This is the way of the Rainmakers.

More Lord!
