Floored by the Glory!
Let me tell you about a wonderful couple called Dick and Gladys Funnell. They have become my new best friends. Just one visit with them and I was impacted.
Dick and Gladys moved here from America in the early 2000's to pray for Revival. God orchestrated it beautifully. Over the years they have connected with, and championed those who are for revival. They know so many people because of this, and with keen eyes, like spiritual meterologists, they scan the heavens for the coming rains of God, or Fire, which they equally seem to love. They are true Revival People, true Rainmakers!
On Tuesday the 11th of February 2025, I went to spend the day with Dick and Gladys, along with my father and mother. The last three Tuesdays have been ones of encounter. The first two were spent making a pilgrimage to Soar Y Mynydd, near Tregaron. Last Tuesday we met them at the Chapel in Blaenannerch. They warned us to layer up as it would be cold in the church. They spend a lot of time praying in cold churches during the winter months.
We were met by Margaret, who opened the Chapel for us. We spoke together for a little. My mother went and sat in the famous "hot" seat, where Evan Roberts was filled with the Holy Spirit. I sat next to her, and my father in another pew. Dick and Gladys sat in the pews opposite the "hot" seat. Gladys prophesied over me, and suddenly I was overcome with power. This moved into a passionate time of prayer for Wales. It felt so good to feel the manifest presence of God. It must be because of the years of people visiting and praying for Revival in that place, that makes it easier to enter His presence there. It was wonderful. We prayed over the "Visitor's Books", praying for those who were still alive. A practice that Dick and Gladys do often. Dick handed the books to me, my mother, and father, and asked us to pray for specific things, as we took turns. I liked that. I felt connected to all of those who were still alive, and those who had gone before us.
Before we left, I got to sit in the 'hot" seat. I prayed what I pray at every historical place, or graveside that I visit,
"Lord, if there is any grace available,
or encounter from past moves that you will for me to have, I receive it"
Sometimes stuff happens, and sometimes nothing seems to happen. Last Tuesday, something did happen.
I would like to address something. There's a lot of criticism from certain non-charismatic, and charismatics too, about a practice called "grave-sucking". It's usually by people who don't like Bill Johnson or Bethel Church. Even though neither teach "grave-sucking", they do teach honoring those who have gone before us. I have found that it is ok to go to Israel and visit the three places where Jesus may have been born, or the possible locations of His grave, or even get baptized "again" in the Jordan river, all of which I would love to do. But go to the grave site of a former Revivalist, and you get mocked, and accused of "grave-sucking".
I do get that some people take it too far, and they probably don't get much out of it. However, when you visit a place out of respect for how God used another fellow human being like us, then I truly believe there is nothing wrong with that. I'd prefer to be accused of "grave-sucking" and visit these historic places than not.
Bill Johnson said something good, in response to the "grave-sucking" critics, he said,
"Sometimes you have to risk looking foolish for God,
or risk being misunderstood"
A-MEN!

OK, let me get off my soap-box 😂😂
What I encountered at the chapel in Blaenannerch, took me days to emotionally recover from. I hadn't realized its impact. I encountered God sat in that seat. The Holy Spirit did something, and it took me a few days to get over it. What Gladys prophesied, and the move of the Spirit affected my physical body. I'll take more of that Lord! There is a difference with people who cultivate the presence of God in their lives, and not just run around doing "christian" stuff. Dick and Gladys are people of His presnece.

Read their story, and encourage them. They have received official "Rainmakers" rights, and are now - our new best friends! Love you both!
