Angels of the Tides of Change

 

We meet weekly on Fridays at our Prayer Room in Merthyr. Last Friday, July 3rd, we had just finished interceding for the valleys, when suddenly I was able to see into the Spirit. I saw a huge angel standing on the heads of the valley road (A465). It was looking down the Merthyr valley, shouting. It's clothing was like the waves of the sea. 

It is often difficult to make sense of things, in the moment, when you are seeing what is happening in the Spirit realm. I kept looking at this one angel, and was fascinated. Then, in the Spirit, the view panned backwards, and I could see an angel facing down the Aberdare valley, then one over the Rhymney valley, Tredegar valley, Ebbw Vale valley, Brynmawr valley, and the Usk valley. Each with clothing like the waves of the sea, and each shouting down their valley. Similar to this pic below. 

I asked the Holy Spirit who these angels were, and why they were shouting up and down the valleys. I believe the Holy Spirit called them the Angels of the Tides of Change, and what they were shouting up and down the valleys was the TRUTH of how God sees the valleys. 

Then a memory popped in my head that was significant. About two years ago I heard a physicist explaining what really happens when we say that the tides come in and go out. It messed with my head so much, and I think it will with yours if you haven't already heard it. 

Most of us have heard that the moon controls the tides, right? But I never knew exactly how that happened, and many times, especially when I have been by the sea, I have looked up at the moon and pondered how the moon impacts the tides. I have added the video below of the physcist Neil deGrasse Tyson explaining this phenomenom of God's creation. But let me explain too. 

It's easier to say that the tide is in or the tide has gone out, as opposed to what is really happening. A water "bulge" occurs around the middle of the earth. The gravitational pull of the moon, and the sun, cause this bulge. What we call the tide being in or out, is not true. The truth is that as the earth is rotating we pass through this bulge of water, which creates the perception that the tide has come in or gone out.

What these angels are declaring, with immense force, is the TRUTH of God over the valleys. 

Some of you may be worried about people of differing faiths moving into communities. God's TRUTH is not worried about that. Some of you may be worried about a decline in Christianity, God's TRUTH is not worried about that. Some of you may be worried about politics in the valleys, God's TRUTH is not worried about that. Fill in the blanks of what you may consider to be a problem, and ask God to give you eyes to see and ears to hear what exactly God's TRUTH is for our towns, villages, and ultimately our valleys. Don't focus on the problem but the TRUTH God is proclaiming! I believe we are to repeat what He is proclaiming more than anything else. Speak His word and it will transform us and transform our valleys.

In the video by Tyson he says something that is so profound:

"We're stuck with language from our own perception, rather than language of what's actually happening"

This is spiritual gold! Such Truth spoken through an unlikely vessel. So, what could this have to do with these Angels of the Tides of Change? Let me offer a few suggestions.

1. What we perceive to be true may not be TRUTH:
This happens a lot, whereby we witness something and we try to interpret what we see. We all have filters that we pass information through. Just like the wrong belief about tides, we need Holy Spirit to tell us what's actually happening with the purposes of God in the valleys. 

2. Too much empahsis on spiritual warfare:
Those who are always talking about spiritual warfare are speaking from a veiled perception. Jesus already won! He is the Victor, and has triumphed. That's TRUTH. So, when I engage in fights that distract me from the task at hand, then the enemy has me. It's like getting lured down an alley into a street brawl with demons, instead of staying on the main road of God's purpose. When we become obsessed with spiritual warfare our perception is compromised. As believers, our focus is not the kingdom of darkness, but the Kingdom of God. I don't care what Satan is doing, what is God doing? Do not engage in street brawls with the enemy, it will distract you. Jesus is King!

3. Scattered Clouds:
About a year ago, after praying over a situation where someone was talking about spiritual warfare, I had a vision of scattered clouds over a town. Now, if I had listened to the person talking about how this and that was all spiritual warfare, then I would conclude that the spiritual clouds over that area were thick and black. I believe God showed me that there were clouds (a metaphor for spiritual attack), but they were scattered. We always say that God is moving, but then go on about how much spiritual warfare is happening. This is fueled by a wrong belief that the enemy works most where God is moving. Where's that in the Bible? So, we must live with the perception that the glorious light of the Gospel is shining through the clouds, and the influences of God's purposes are all around us. Our towns are not lost causes, or hotbeds of religious antagonism, no, they are hotbeds for moves of God. We are all one change of a way of thinking away from seeing change in our valleys. 

We have to let go of what we think is true. Until I heard that information about how the tides don't go in or out, I would've sworn that what I was seeing is what was happening, and argued it to be true. I even taught my children about what I thought the tides were doing. All of it was not true. I don't know about you, but this really messed with my head, and still blows my mind. It also caused me to ask the question, what else do I believe to be true that isn't? I don't want to be, like Tyson said, "stuck with language from (my) own perception, rather than language of what's actually happening" Lord, reveal Truth to me, that I may walk in it. Change how I see things so I see from your perspective. Give me the language of what is actually happening, and not what I think is happening! Wash my eyes, God, and my mouth!

The angels are proclaiming God's TRUTH up and down our valleys. Just because I saw the heads of the valleys road, does not mean that there are not angels stationed at the heads of other valleys. I believe they are! Therefore, the tides of spiritual awakening are changing. We are about to pass through a bulge of heavenly water that will wash and cleanse the hearts and minds of those who are willing to let go of their limited perception, and embrace what God is actually doing.
