Wales needs to SEE the Power of God!
There are videos circulating on the internet where "flat-earthers" are taken to Antarctica and they see the "24hr" sun which flat-earthers say IS NOT THERE! The evidence speaks for itself.
Equally egregious is the belief that the age of miracles, healings, signs, wonders, and the gifts of the Spirit have ceased. They have a name for those who hold to this belief - Cessationists! I find this belief to be very frustrating, and just like the "flat-earthers" going to Antarctica, I could take any one of those cessationists to Africa or India and show them God at work, doing what they say He doesn't do anymore.
I compare cessationist to flat-earthers because despite the overwhelming evidence, both groups come up with new arguements to circumvent reality. I remember a few years ago when John MacArthur published his grand work of fiction - Strange Fire - and several prominent Charismatic scholars wrote books, with overwhelming Biblical, and historic evidence to prove the inaccuracies of MacArthur's text. What was MacArthur's response? - "Oh, I'll write another book to discuss why I'm right". Arrogance!! That's the lunacy of cessationism, there's always another argument. What's cool though, is that while these deluded spiritual "flat-earthers" stroke their beards, Jesus is still, through His people, healing the sick, raising the dead, performing miracles, setting addicts free, and doing what He did when He walked the earth. It's never changed!

I was once part of a particular church for two years. Everything was going well until I started praying for the sick, and Jesus was healing people. It was at a Bible Class that I had been asked to teach, by the Pastor. I was eventually asked to leave that church. Why? Because of cessationism. Their ONLY conclusion was that Satan was doing these miracles and healings through me, because God doesn't do those things today. It baffles me as much as the flat-earthers. But even worse than a crazy belief in a flat earth, I have a hatred for cessationism, and all of the mental arguements to say that God has stopped doing the things that Jesus and the disciples did in Scripture. Again, a flight to Africa, India, or South America will provide enough evidence that God is STILL doing what He did in the Bible. Sheesh, the great thing is that you do not need to go to far off lands, because many believers are doing what Jesus told His disciples to do right in our nation.

OK, so what has this got to do with Revival in Wales? A lot! I believe that the move that is coming with obliterate the current church model. It is a "model", and most of it is not supported by Scripture. It's just tradition upon tradition. I love Jesus' words in His rebuke of the Pharisees,
"Thus you nullify the word of God by the tradition you have handed down. And you do so in many such matters"
Mark 7:13
Traditions can "nullify" (make of no effect) the word of God!If you are always taught that miracles do not happen today, then you can read about miracles all day long in the Bible, but your tradition will nullify what the word of God says. Can't you see how demonic that is? We do not need churches that do not experience miracles, or pastors who do not reglulary see healings, visions, dreams, signs, wonders etc. How can you follow a pastor who does not do what the disciples did? How can you follow a pastor who teaches against what the disciples of the Bible did? It is asinine to follow a church "model" like that. We need a fresh example of New Testament Church, and Christianity, one that is built not on titles and positions, or by control freaks and narcissists, but on the power of Jesus at work to build His Church as He wants it. BURN YOUR TRADITIONS and embrace the moving of the Holy Spirit. We need to be led by those who are consumed by God, not the clueless.
Did you know that there are several Bible Schools across the globe that require that you see the dead raised before you can graduate? I'm all for raising the standard of what is expected by our pastors. Just read the standard required by those who would help serve in Acts 6,
"Therefore, brothers, select from among you seven men confirmed to be full of the Spirit and wisdom...They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, as well as Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch...Stephen, who was full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and signs among the people"

FULL of the Spirit, FULL of wisdom, FULL of faith, FULL of grace, FULL of power! These are needed qualities for all in the Church. From the car park attendent to the pastor. Anyone who serves should be FULL. Do you see how far the church has veered? This is why we need Revival in Wales, so men and women are FULL and overflowing. The traditions of men clog the opening to the wells of our hearts.
Lord! Ravage all of our romantic yearnings for Revival in Wales. Replace nostalgia with NEW-stalgia. Lord, not another Welsh Revival, but heaven on earth! Not the traditions of men, but the cultures of Your throneroom. Let Wales see You in Your Glory. Not what we can handle, but what You want manifested! Offend us with Your reality so that we can be free. Let the cloudy scales of 1904 fall from our eyes. No more the historic but the eternal expressions of Your will. Build Your Church in our nation. No more gimmicks and plans, but heavenly decrees releasing those bound by tradition. Let us be a great expression of Your love to those who do not yet know You. Let us not be a clanging gong, but a pristine call and example to life in abundance!!
