Ten Days...

Image
We have 10 days until our very first Gathering of Rainmakers. I would like to add the daily devotions that I am sharing on Facebook as we countdown to our event. The focus of the daily devotion is Revelation chapter 4. The scene around heaven should become familiar to us, as it is from there that we are to pray, and for its effects to influence and transform earth. 10 Day Countdown! Over the next 10 days I will share snippets from Revelation 4. I would like to encourage you to read this chapter every day. It is how things look in the spiritual realm. We are too familiar with our earthly plain when there is a realm more real than our eyes can see. It requires the grace of the Holy Spirit to open our spiritual eyes (and the other spiritual senses), to see and experience the heavenly realm. Jesus said that it is within reach (at hand). It's not a stretch or a journey away, it's within reach! For all of us! Today we look at Revelation 4:1, "Before me a door standing open in ...

The Greatest Enemy of Revival

Image
The greatest enemy to the frontier is the familiar! I woke this morning with the above phrase on my mind. As my eyes look at our nation of Wales, and I reminisce over my life here before I moved to America in 2007, I am awakened to the reality that nostalgia is no longer my friend. Before I left for America I wanted another 1904 Welsh Revival. Now, being back in Wales, I want what God has always wanted to do! Have we become too rigid in our expectations, in our religiousity, and in our flat out fear to give up control of what we have built? We need to let God be God.  Pioneers of heavenly frontiers, for the things that God wills to manifest on earthly plains, must let go of the familiar and follow the Holy Spirit There is a verse in the New Testament that I love, and whenever I read it I let my thoughts wander to the "what ifs" and the "whys?", "But the man went out and openly began to proclaim and spread the news. Consequently, Jesus could no longer enter a ...

Wales needs to SEE the Power of God!

Image
There are videos circulating on the internet where " flat-earthers " are taken to Antarctica and they see the "24hr" sun which flat-earthers say IS NOT THERE! The evidence speaks for itself.  Equally egregious is the belief that the age of miracles, healings, signs, wonders, and the gifts of the Spirit have ceased. They have a name for those who hold to this belief - Cessationists! I find this belief to be very frustrating, and just like the "flat-earthers" going to Antarctica, I could take any one of those cessationists to Africa or India and show them God at work, doing what they say He doesn't do anymore.  I compare cessationist to flat-earthers because despite the overwhelming evidence, both groups come up with new arguements to circumvent reality. I remember a few years ago when John MacArthur published his grand work of fiction - Strange Fire - and several prominent Charismatic scholars wrote books, with overwhelming Biblical, and historic eviden...

Wind on the Water

Image
My new favorite place in Wales is Soar y Mynydd. I have been up there several times to pray for Revival. As with many beautiful locations, the journey is part of the adventure. Just as you exit Llandovery you turn right and drive up the valley for thirty minutes, until you reach Soar y Mynydd. The joy I feel is amazing. The sounds of trees whooshing as they play with the wind, the gurgling bubbling chatter of streams and rivers as they make their way to wherever they are going, is music to the ears. Even the grass hisses as the wind blows between her blades. During my first visit I saw many trees that had been snapped by strong winds. I personally do not remember ever seeing damage to forests like this in Wales. I had seen it many times in the Midwest of America because of Tornados. So, seeing these trees snapped by wind has stuck with me. I have already written that I feel it is a symbol of the stiff relgious orders in Wales being broken, like Hezekiah broke the Asherah poles, "H...

Seeing Wales Through New Eyes

Image
I found this photo on Facebook the other day. It is a photo of a familiar spot on the mountain road between Ponsticill and Talybont. I have spent much time at this location. On one occasion my friend, Tefion, almost fell off the edge of the lower waterfall, whilst we were there at night. When I saw this photo I stopped and looked at it for a few minutes. I love the perspective of the waterfalls and trees in light of the mountain behind. One other image that is burned into my memory, is from another night time hike I did with my friend, Teifion, up from the Storey Arms to Corn Du. I have been up Corn Du and Pen-y-Fan in all weathers and seasons, but this one night will stay with me forever. The moutains were covered in snow. There was not a cloud in the sky, and a billion stars watched us as we traversed the snow covered path. Tefion and I made our way up the pitch. On a sunny day this pitch is deceptively steep. It looks ok from a distance, but once your feet hit that last pitch leadin...

Nomad - The Revival Angel - Part 2

Image
In Part 1 I introduced you to an angel called Navad. So, why did Navad come? I'm still not totally sure, but I believe it has to do with Revival. Angels usually only speak if they have a message from heaven. For years I have been fascinated with, and have marvelled over the account of Philip in the Book of Acts. Here are the two verses that I love, "Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip , 'Rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.' This is a desert place...And the Spirit said to Philip , 'Go over and join this chariot.'" (Acts 8:26 and 30) I have known the voice of the Holy Spirit for most of my life. However, since angels have never really spoken to me audibly like this (except for one occasion), I have marvelled why there is a distinction here in scripture. Firstly, the angel gives clear instruction, then secondly, the Holy Spirit gives instruction, why didn't the Holy Spirit do both? I do have some possible ...

Nomad - The Revival Angel - Part 1

Image
I want to tell you about Navad, an angel who has visited me several times since 2017. The above picture is an AI generated picture. I simply typed into Microsoft Designer - A nomadic figure facing me in the desert, dressed in grey, with a cloud covering his feet - and this is what came out. The designer also provided variations of this photo, which I will share throughout this post, and part 2. The purpose for me using AI was simply because I could not draw what I saw. I am a visual person, so visions help me process encounters with God. Navad first visted me in 2017, during a time of worship at our church. I must be careful here to say that I do not see angels with my physical eyes. I see them with my spiritual eyes. I am humbled that I see at all, and I have asked God to open my physical eyes more, because I know people who see angels with their physical eyes. However, when it comes to the things of the Spirit, the Lord has been gracious to let me see with spiritual eyes. I am...
